I currently live in Johnson City in northeast TN. Locals here are on the western arc. For a variety of reasons, I have two 500 dishes - one for 110 and 119, and one for 129. They feed into an SW34 switch that feeds three owned VIP211k receivers. I am moving to Dublin, GA. What arc are they on and where do they get locals? I am not interested in upgrading to the Hopper - I may pull back to two VIP211ks in my new house. If Dublin is on Eastern arc, what would be the best single dish to use for two 211ks? What would be best for three 211ks? What would be best if they are on Western arc?

Isn't DishMover always free? Maybe not for brand new accounts? However, I moved while under contract and it was free. I second boba's comment.

Take your receivers with you (taking the dishes and LNBs is NOT necessary). When you're all moved in, call Dish and tell them you have moved. They will reinstall everything for you just like a new install, less the receivers, of course. Looking at a map, you're probably in Macon's market, but could also be Savannah. Both markets have the HD locals on both EA and WA.... That is probably an interim thing though. Again, best advice is to let Dish take care of it.

If you're concerned that doing Dish Mover will put you back under contract, that may be the case - check with Dish now.

bentjm,

You would get your locals out of Macon GA; they will play in either the EA (61.5) or WA (110 & 119).

You will either be installed with the 1000.4 or 1000.2 EA, I am more than happy to give you a better idea of all equipment will be installed.

Would you PM me w/the phone and 4 digit PIN number to better help you?

Thanks

Dublin falls in the Macon locals area. HD locals are only on Eastern Arc (not on Western Arc). Western Arc only has the Macon locals in SD.

Standard install for that area with the OP's receivers and a regular programming package is an 1000.2 EA dish.

International package will call for a 1000.4 EA dish with 500 plus wing dish (for the 118 sat, which carries the international channels).

Latino package will call for 1000.4 EA dish.

If Western Arc has to be used instead due to NLOS to the Eastern Arc, then the appropriate Western Arc dish will be called for.

Most likely, the OP has only a regular programming package and will need only a 1000.2 dish to work all three 211 receivers.
