I currently have a dish pointed at 61.5 and a dish 500? that gets 110 and 119.

If I "move" to Pittsburgh from Erie, PA (125miles north of Pittsburgh) would I have the equipment needed to pick up the Pittsburgh HD channels?

According to this you will need 118° and you should be fine for now. If it goes spotbeam in the future, 125miles probably will work too, but it will be on the edge.

You need a 500+ dish with your setup (500+ gets 110, 118 & 119) keep your 61.5 do not get a 1000+ (110,118,119 & 129 on one dish) as 129 comes in crappy compared to 61.5 (speaking from experience).

I don't understand why he would need a 500 plus. Shouldn't his current setup work since he is already getting the 61.5 in which he can get the Pitt locals? I get my Pitt locals in great quality on the 61.5.

The only thing Pittsburgh related he can get from 61.5 is FSN Pittsburgh HD. The locals are not on 61.5.
