Before the Multiview update on the Joey 4, my Hopper 3 would sometimes have issues with MultiView.
Different quadrants would stop displaying or similar issues after extreme extended viewing, changing, and swapping.
I also use OTA on my Hopper 3.
I don't think OTA helped and may have contributed to the MultiView issues.
In contrast MultiView on the Joey 4 seems rock solid for me.
The Android Joey 4 is newer and better period than the Hopper 3.
Better newer software?
I haven't had a single issue with MultiView since the MultiView update on the Joey 4.
Maybe now because I'm getting my MultiView on the Joey 4 I'm doing less MultiView on the Hopper 3 and therefore haven't been experiencing any issues doing MultiView on Hopper 3 with less MultiViewing or MultiView could have improved on the Hopper 3.
I would say MultiView is more solid on the Android Joey 4 than the Hopper 3 was.
Months ago before the MultiView update for the Joey 4 and I had no Idea the MuliView updates were coming for the Android boxes, I simplified and disconnected my secondary Hooper 3 going down to using one Hopper 3.
I got rid of all of my 4K Joeys. Good riddance.
I kept my Joey 4.
My Dish Network Dish is connected to a the Dish Pro Hybrid 34 Switch going to a Dish Hybrid Solo Hub which currently runs only two tvs.
Since I do OTA so my Hopper 3 has 18 tuners.
At this time MultiView works great all the time with absolutely no problems at all.
I am able to do simultaneous MultiView on the Joey 4 and the Hopper 3.
I figured that if you have multiple Joey 4s that you might not be able to do MultView on more than one at the same time.
My Joey 4 is connected to an old 65 inch LG C7 oled. The HDR picture is great from the Joey 4. I don't think it needs SDR. Looks great.
My system is unbelievably great now with the MultiView update on the Joey 4.
Just lucky I guess?
