This is lengthy so I "blogged" it. Check-out my blog for the continuing saga as I get educated and up-to-speed with this nifty but challenging unit! I'll update as there's news. In short, I like the unit but there are 2 major issues to be resolved: I have the "no HDMI output" that has been widely reported 
, and the OTA tuner is, for me, underwhelming. 
But in general, I think I'm going to like this DVR !!
