40.0 for all the buttons.
52.0 for separate power buttons, apps button and search button.
54.0 for the back light and voice control.

I use the 700 most of the time as well. I do use the 54 when I want to use Voice though.

My favorite remote has become the 54 remote. I like that it is backlit, has voice interaction, and it fits nicely on my treadmill. I still occasionally use my 40 remote. The additional buttons may some tasks easier. My 52 remote is packed away. I never liked the 52 remote. I don't mind that the 54 remote only has one power button since I use the voice command "Turn Off" to power off my Hopper3 and Joey3 receivers.

But if you just press the microphone button, it gives you the option on screen to do a text search.
