I have read in one of the posts that Nashville HD locals are in testing mode. How long have they been up? Anyone have an educated guess about when they will be available? This is my first post, so please be gentle.

I'd like to know also.... I think I will call Dish.

I may have to go ahead with the 622 before April.

The first CSR I speak to has no clue!!!

He says the only way to get HD locals with DISH is by connecting an off air antenna to the receiver.

I'm still on the phone and asked to speak to his supervisor!

10 Minutes later.......

The supervisor tells me my current recievers are MPEG3... ( I corrected him ) Tells me there is no way to upgrade both of my HD reveivers. Only 1. I ask him if that means I can only ever have 1 MPEG4 receiver and he doesn't know what to say.

Then he starts rambling on about changing technology and beta max.

I'll probably be a Comcast customer by the end of this call.

Dish is currently only allowing you to upgrade to one MPEG4 reciever. Whether this is because they are in short supply, or something else, I don't know.

So, if you want two MPEG4 recievers, you can lease one, and buy the other.

The problem is they told me they are lease only.

I was finally transfered to the executive office and they were able to resolve this for now.
