Setting up a tv for a friend in Maggie valley, Tried a HUB55 with no luck, got a couple of channels but that was it. The setup requires four splits. So my next venture is a wineguard 1100 and a preamp at the antenna and then a distribution amp in the house. The tv fool shows all as level 2. any reconmodations before I try this?

In a valley exact location is critical in estimating potential TV viewability.

Please, go to www.TVFool.com and run a report for the exact location of your friends house.

There is a mapping facility in the right hand column that lets you put the pin right on his house )with satellite view) for the best estimate possible.

Without that info any thing we say will not be worth the paper it's written on.

Looking at Maggie Valley, it is long and winding, so exact location is critical.

Try it with just a good pre-amp first, adding a second amp has been said to degrade signal more than help, I've never tried it myself.
