Need help setting up HDTV

I have a activated voom receiver. I have a radio shack uhf antenna. I get the antenna to point right to the towers. I have rg-59 cable about 50 feet. When i go to check how strong the signal is i get like 89-99. But when i scan for channels i get none. Also when i tune to a channel with 99 i get a blank screen. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong.

UPDATE:
ok i just used my metrostar 2000 antenna and i get a 81 signal and channels show up but the antenna sucks and i want to use my radioshack one to get better reception. For some reason i get 99 signal with radioshack but i get nothing when i scan channels.

Scan with the old antenna, then swap out antennas. I guess that could be a work around.

What is your zip code.

Try moving the antenna right or left, you may be experiencing multi-path that kills your signal integrity (tuner cant decode two streams slightly out of sync).
