Need Help

I have a Dish 500 with Lecacy lnbs and a sw 44 switch to 4 tvs. I want to ad 2 more tvs. Dish told me to ad a dp34 switch by from what i have read this switch will not work with my lnbs. Can someone please tell me the correct way I need to go. Thanks

I assume you mean 4 receivers and you want to add 2 more?

What receiver models do you have? Reason I ask is if they are 4 digit models (6000, 4900, etc) you need an adapter if you go Dish Pro

If they are all 3 digit models, then you could go DishPro

You would need a DishPro Twin and 2 DP34 switches
-replace the 2 duals with the DishPro Twin
-run 2 lines from the LNB to the DP34 switch
-hook up 4 receivers
-there is a loop out on the switch to attach another DP34 switch
-add the 2 extra receivers and do switch check on all of them

If you have Legacy (4 digit model) receivers, then there is another way

Then yes, Iceberg has it right; DPTwin and DP34 switches (2 of them)

yep. Since they're all 3 digit models, DishPro is the way to go

Iceberg, perhaps I misunderstand your comment, but I have a 6000 and not using an adapter with SuperDish+61.5 and DPP44.

a DPP44 or a DPPTwin are the only two ways you can use DishProPlus and no adapter. But the OP only has a Dish500 with 2 duals so I thought he had Legacy. Since he has DishPro receivers, he's all set

Thanks for the clarification. I missed that important detail and, as usual, I stand amazed and humbled by the level of knowledge demonstrated by the regulars around here. Makes me wish I'd discovered this place sooner
