Good Morning To All > This is my 1st entry on Satellite Guys.US...

I have 2 satellite boxes and 4 identical remotes. I'm finally
entering (or trying to) remote
codes for them.

To get to the specifics: The remotes i'm trying to program
are the "4.0 IR/UHF PRO" by
Echostar (Dish Network).

Having a hard time finding Sony codes for 2 of my A/V Receivers.
The 2 in question are 1) STR-K900
and the 2) STR-K750P.

Defining "hard time" = seems i
push the up or down buttons for
an indefinite amount of time and
still getting no results in pro-
gramming the remotes for the above
receivers. Have a JVC A/V receiver
that didn't work with codes listed
in owners manual (Dish Network).
But did however program with the
search code process. And with not
much time invested. Also, the A/V
(Sony) receivers are approximately
3-5 years old. The satellite boxes
and remotes only 1-2 years old. I
assumed (terrible word) finding a remote code for these receivers
would not be all that difficult.

Without anymore rambling. Hopefully, I've served up enough
info to work with.

Feel free to ask for more details
to help come to a resolution to
this issue.

Thanks,

Greg (rodi63)

Some Sony devices can be set to work with remote codeset AV1 or AV2. Try the other, then try the codes in the Dish remote.

I'm suddenly feeling
a bit nostalgic for
the CoCo II. :D

Have you attempted a Power Scan? Hold down the [TV] at the top of the remote until the other buttons light up. Let it go and the [TV] will blink. Next press the big red Power button and then the Channel Up button. Each push of the Up button tries a new code. Once the TV turns off, then hit the [#] button to lock in the code.
