true john there a bunch of channels on dish that do have hd feeds and wonder why not dish add them in HD are they are out of HD feeds that they can add to the those channels

Or maybe it is as simple as there is no contract to show them in HD. Or maybe they want too much money to allow Dish to use the HD feed and there is so little interest in the channel that it isn't worth charging every subscriber for the HD feed to service a few subs...
Funny though. it actually says "HD" on the lower right. Is this an HD feed down convert?
I just wonder that once the Christmas movies are over if all these channels will basically show the same thing just at different times

If there is little interest in it, why bother to add it in the first place? And it isn't like they are keeping the prices frozen, another $5 starting next month.
According to New Channels | MyDISH | DISH Customer Support, Hallmark Drama was added to Top 200 and Heartland Pack
You pay Dish for their lineup, not for all channels to be carried in HD. QVC pays Dish to be carried, and probably pays more to have their HD feed up. Which is awesome, cause that subsidizes you. 9/10 times will be a money related issue. And you say "if there wasn't a huge demand, why did they add the channel?" Well, you can ask yourself why more providers didn't pick up the channel, and why no providers picked it up when it launched. It's a niche channel. The mysteries have been solved.
