Ok so what new deals are there for customers wanting hd and a single room dvr? Had my fill of directs not honoring their extended service plan and the problems with the hd receivers and fios has no plans to come over two blocks.

Ok so what are all of the fee's these days that I would have to face with an hd dvr and say the 250 with hd and a phone line hooked up? Is it still a receiver lease fee plus hd activation fee for not having the highest end hd package and what else?

Over the basic package cost, add $10 for HD and $6 for an HD DVR. No other fees unless you add more receivers. There are also the Dish America all HD packages. The only fee there would be the $6 DVR fee. Total for Top 250 plan with HD DVR would be $48 + $10 + $6 = $64 and then $15 more per month after the discount period.

250 with locals $62.99 dvr fee $6 hd $10 with 24 mth agreement you will get $15 off for the first 12 mths and free hbo and sho for 3 mths and free service plan for 6 mth after that its $6 if you wish to keep it which reduces your tech visits to $15 from $95 if you dont have it if you have good credit you wont pay anything upfront if you have shakey credit then you would be qualifed for a dha too which has a $99 activation fee and a $200 fee for an hddvr and you have to pay upfront for your programming and be billed 1 month at a time and pay before your services begin for the following month

Only other room is daughters bedroom and she never watches tv in her room and when she has its been sponge bob or flapjack for half an hour tops.

So if I got this straight then I'm looking at 78.99 with the fee's for 250 + locals + hd during the first year and the second its 93.99 right?

For 1 room HD DVR.
$62.99 Locals and Top 250
$6 DVR
$10 HD/Platinum
Total $78.99 + Taxes, If any.

This is on a Vip 722 ,2 rooms 1 SD,DVR 1 HD DVR 55 HD hours 350 SD hours
Or a Vip 612 1 HD DVR 30 HD hours 200 SD hours.
You don't have to subscribe to HD if you don't want.
You can subscribe to any Base Pack as far as I know.
Used to be Top 100 if you have HD equipment .,And HD enabling Fee if you didn't subscribe to HD pack.
They dropped both of those rules. Now if your Eastern Arc ,you'll get HD equipment automaticly

This is my Bill for 4 rooms of service ( 622 and 722), HBO, MAX, Showtime, Top 250 Locals, HD/Platinum, Protection Plan, and Super Station pack.

Van,

Get the 722 or 722k receiver. You can put it in single mode if your daughter doesn't watch but you are covered if she changes her viewing habits. Plus you know that the best time to get the good receivers is when you sign up and since it's only one receiver, you don't pay fees. Well, except for the new $6.00 DVR fee.

Your right and I'm overly tired, its been rough working full time plus school full time and dealing with a 5yr old going on 16. Looks like I'm dropping direct then because the first price you listed is what I'm paying for 200 channels plus hd on a non dvr and going through the channel line up there are hd channels on dish that I actually want that direct doesnt have.

Exactly, Its a much better receiver and it cost nothing over the single room buggy 612. And your going to pay that $6 DVR no matter what DVR you get, So you might as well make it count. :)

I'll go the 722k because I forgot about the loft that I'm building to handle space limitations in the bedroom and the computer desk is going under the loft and my monitor has hdmi hookups on it plus I want to add a capture card.
