New Guy on the block

Hello folks. Call me SAW_Guy. My backgound is Surface Acoustic Wave devices at Zenith Electronics. Worked with the HD guys when I was there. But, unforunately, I am not an HD expert at this time.

Like just about everyone else, I am looking for a way to get OTA HD signals without investing a great deal of $$$$. I suspect that 2k7 will bring new goodies out and anything we can get today will become proverbial boat anchors. At least for any new formats and gimmics that accompany the release.

Just read an article about using the Zoom boxes to receive OTA signals, but also read threads about how there is only a limited chance of finding one that really will work. Any suggestions?

If you considering using a Voom receiver to get ota, make sure you get an activated receiver. It would have had to active when Voom went dark. I have 3 working right now and they provide a great picture. Welcome to the site, it is very helpful.
