New Hd--what About Alaska And Hawaii

Does anyone have the inside track for HD in AK and HI? No matter how much HD is launched nationally, Alaska and Hawaii are stuck with the "Alaska Pack" which is 8 or 9 channels, several of them worthless. (my opinion) We are getting these channels off of 110W. Can we aim a dish at another sat. and receive more? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
