first off hi and thank's for any help
i got a free winegard directv multi-satellite dish
it came with 2 lnb 1 has on it directv 12.2~12.7GHz the other has california amplifier p/n150517 and has room for one more
what i would like to know is if i can use this or do i need to get new lnb
i plan i getting a pansat 3500
thank's again jughead

Yes you can use that dish and LNBF for a few channels but you will REALLY need at least a 30" dish and KU LNBF for MOST of the FTA channels up there!

Here is a list of what you can expect to get with the dish and DBS LNB/s

WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum!

Buying a fixed satellite system is like buying a car with no wheels (IMO)

Pete likes to overexaggerate that line. You can get a lot of stuff on a fixed dish but a motorized will make it much easier to move to each satellite

it'd be more like.....buying a car with no AC and you live in Texas/Arizona/OKlahoma, etc...you can get by but you'll change your mind soon :)

i know what he is saying fixed system, car with no wheels
only get to see right in front you. motorized system car with wheels
you get to look a round see new things

psb thanks for the info i took you're advice and got a qph-031
and a 90cm dish(geosatpro) with a gs120 mover
going to try and hook it up next weekend so I'm sure I'll have
some more question
thank's for the help
