Whats with this new info in threads?
Is there any way to turn it off?

It should be running horizontal across the top of the screen.
Are you running a low screen resolution? I need to fire up an old XP machine and see if I see the same.

I'm seeing it too, vertical, even in landscape mode on this browser.

Hey hey hey; it's now horizontal even in portrait mode on this browser. Thanks Scott!

So what is the purpose of this...
All of the info is redundant except the number of 'thumbs up'. I think having the "+" button at the top could be a bad idea... People can read the first post (as it's visible) and reply without seeing any other replies.

This may just be something Scott is considering/testing....

By the way, this is probably what it's supposed to look like:

Just noticed that it's not dynamic (as more and more stuff appears to be lately). After I added post # 6 above, it still shows TheKrell's # 5 post as the last in the thread.

Which I think would increase the likelihood of some information getting posted more than once if replies are made without reading the rest of the thread.

It gave me the opportunity to test the "block element" feature in my browser extension. So it wasn't totally useless. :)
