Check out this Wikipedia Dish channel list. If it can be believed it shows some great HD channels coming soon. IFC, AMC, SPIKE, FOX News Unfortunately SPEED and FX are listed as "future HD," whatever that means.

I have no idea where they are getting their info. Although I believe some of those channels were specifically mentioned on a Charlie Chat.

No way does this list bring us close to 150 channels.
I don't expect to see any of the Rainbow Media channels like AMC & IFC coming in HD any time soon after what happened to Voom.
Who knows? Dish may even loose the SD versions of all these channels along with Sundance & We once the contracts come up for renewals. It wouldn't surprise me.
I have a feeling Dish Network will be either taken over by someone else or go straight down the drain. Charlie is pissing everyone off. Me included.

This is the list of hd channels that Charlie announced on the Chat back in April that has yet to be turned on. My bet is that most ,if not all of these will be turned on by years end . THat and a whole buttload of hd pay per view channels. THey can always change out a pay per view channel for more national hd channels once the deal is worked out with the channel providers. This is what DIRECTV is doing with their space. They added a whole lot of hd pay per views to get their total numbers up to 130 and now they are turning on new hd channels , like Fox news channels and a Crime channel in hd. DISH seems to be following their lead.
Well, Fox is questionable due to lawsuit. That's FNC from the list. Rainbow channels are questionable due to the Voom lawsuit. That's AMC and IFC. BET HD does not exist yet. That is enough to throw the list into question as far as what Charlie can get to us. He may want these channels, but he would have to get damned flexible on his contract to get them all for the end of the year.
Dishnetwork better be adding some decent HD channels soon,if they add more PPV or premium channels I am through with Dish.I bet they will wait until last minute on 12/31/08 to add any additional channels.
Okay, fox news wasn't on the list . But these WERE announced back in April for turn on in 2008 and haven't made it yet.

:Thanks for the update guys. If I had to guess on one channel only, it would be Nickelodeon--I've heard Charlie mention that channel repeatedly on his chats.
