Guys I have few questions. I have this Norsat 8000 Series digital C-band LNB that I bought from ebay for few $

Specs:
3.7 - 4.2 GHz
60 dB gain
30K
L.O. 5.15 GHz
L.O. stability 500 kHz

Is it a Newer model or an OLD model ?

Secondly if I hooked this with a feedhorn how it changes the V-H ?

I am asking this because I have a dreambox receiver and I don’t see any way to connect servo motor. I know the fact that its same as any of the new receivers that in the market today.
So you guys achieving this task ?

Did you not ask this same question a year ago? I suspect the answers would probably be somewhat the same.

Sorry .. I tried to reply to the old thread but not be able to do so.
I still want a way to figure this out. what if i have an old receiver what is your suggestion?

also can you pls tell if this is a newer model LNB ?

You need a 6 ft (minimum) dish, with a feed horn (Welcome To Chaparral Communications) to attach your LNB to. Then you will need a receiver that is capable of controlling a servo, for polarity control. An old analog receiver, or a Pansat 3500 FTA STB will do. There may be other FTA STB's that will also control a servo, I am unsure. As far as the LNB being NEW or OLD, dunno, but the spec sheet was printed in 2007 http://www.satcomnow.com/satcom/pdf/Norsat_8000DRO.pdf
