new software

I just turned my 301-010 on this afternoon and it prompted me to download new software.
I checked dish's website and it said that vers. 2.29 was released on Sept. 3
Has anyone allowed this software to download and if so is it ok?
I refuse to download any new software onto my receiver until I hear it's ok'd by SatelliteGuys.us

I sure hope this fixes the problems with the P2.26 software where the receiver locks up, turns off, then tries to download the EPG/software over and over.

No reply yet? I can't be one of the first boxes to have received this "new" software.

I have p229 on my 301 regid 005 (not misprint) and it works great. A little getting used to the new sys info screen though.
