New SUB help

I am a new sub as of 1/6/07. I got the 211 and the dual tuner DVR for my #2 and #3 tvs. Here my Question. We miss having a DVR in the main room. Will dish let my exchange both recevers for 1 622 for 2 rooms. We dont watch much or any TV in the 3rd room anyway. Also if I wait till feb. 1st could I get it free. I think there is a 30 day trail period. Thanks in advance

You could call Dish and ask. Or you could move the DVR, whichever one it is, and swap it with the 211. If the DVR you have is the ViP622, you likely are getting programming credits now that would basically equal the "free" ViP622 without programming credits.

I doubt they would like for you to return the stuff within 30 days, and then turn around and try to sign up again.

If the CSR can't help you, ask to talk to customer retention.

When I 1st signed up for Dish a couple of years ago, the installer said I could call at any time to upgrade equipment, turned out that I only had a 3 day time frame to do so. Luckily, Dish took care of things for me.

So, call quick, and if at first you don't succeed, keep trying and check back here for some advice on how to proceed.

For the last two years I've been telling customers that they only had three days to change their mind on their account setup (as far as recievers, dishes, etc) and still be considered a new customer with all the promotions. After that Dish would charge them for a service call to make changes...

But within the last few months I've had a dozen or so customers respond to that information that they were told by DISH that they had thirty days to make such changes. So I don't know what to think any more...

Now I explain to customers what I just explained to you. It takes a bit longer but at least I'm not making any false declarations.

I am going to do the dish it up later down the road anyway but what I was asking when feb 1st comes and they start give away the 622 could I change my setup then and avoid the fee. Plus I think I would save $5.00 a month for the extra receiver.

It looks like you wish to go from 3 tv's to 2..Eliminate the single tuner (211) and swap the 625 fro a 622(dual tuner HD DVR)..Hmm..That's a good one...Since you are a new cust I don't see why not..Just did a job today (service call) for a sub that exchanged a 322 (dual tuner) for a 625(dual tuner DVR) just 10 days after his initial install...Try it..Good luck
