Quick question for you D* experts.

I'm planning to sub to D* but I don't want to spend any money on new hardware since someone gave me an older Hughes HD rec. Can I select the 4 system standard rec. option and activate my Hughes HD system in place of a standard receiver?

Would I still be eligible for the 3 months free HD package ?
