New subs get smartcards at installation time ?

Does somebody know if new subs get smartcards at installation time ?

Will new receivers eventually come with smart cards inside the box like directv ?

Depends on if the receiver being installed was manufactured before they started the new smart cards.

My new 722 was installed 08-08-08 and it was G3 at time of install with an internal card. I was sent a replacement for my old 301 but the letter said the 722 was ok and it does not have a card in the slot. You can also see 77 and 72 in the point dish screen so i guess it does have an internal card.
