I don't think I have the right type of antenna settings. On the receiver, I believe I need to set the antenna setting. I have the following:

LNB Power: ON
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 10750

After reading through this forum, I believe I should use "Universal 1" as the LNB type? What about the LNF Freq?

After trying different equipments after the one we had broke, I have the following equipment:

OmegaSat DSB5700 receiver

Universal Linear Single KU Band LNB, LNBF that we got from ebay in an attempt to replace the one we had that we believe might be defective after couple of years. With the following information:

  • Brand New! Pearl Edition Universal Linear Single KU Band LNB, LNBF.
  • New Generation! Super Low Noise 0.2dB! HD Ready.
  • Professional Line - Ultimate Reliability 2010 Model!
  • Universal signal coverage for American and Atlantic satellites.
  • 10.7 ~ 12.75 GHz (LO : 9.75 & 10.6 GHz)
  • This brand new Ku band LNBF can receive signal from all linear polarized.
  • Ku Band Satellites such as:
    Galaxy 19 (97W), Galaxy 25 (93.1W), Galaxy 3C (95W), Galaxy 16 (99W),Galaxy 18 (123W),
    Galaxy 27 (129W), AMC 21 (125W), SatMex 5 (116.8W), SatMex 6 (113W),
    AMC 2/4 (101W), AMC 6 (72W), Horizons 2 (74W), AMC 5 (79W),
    AMC 9 (83W), AMC 3 (87W), Galaxy 28 (89W), Amazonas (61W)

    And Many Other Satellites
  • Super Low 0.2dB noise figure.

Under LNB type, the receiver manual said:
Universal 1 (9750/10600)
Universal 2 (9550/10750)
Unicable (1210 IF/ 1420 IF/ 1680 IF / 2040IF)
User Define (LNB Low LNB High)
LNB IF frequency can be input with numeric key
Standard (5150/9750/10000/10600/10750/11250/11300/11475)

So I should choose "Universal 1"?

GTE,

Yes, I agree with Turbosat as well.

The spec's for the LNBF you have states that the L.O. or the Local Oscillator frequency is 9.750/10.600 and the Universal 1 setting in your receiver matches this.
