Newbie Question on "Sporadic ease" and VOOM dish?

This was always an issue with my C-band dish in March and October on certain days the sun alignment would noise out my reception during certain times of the day.

Does this also happen with the little dish pointed at 61.5?

What are the symptoms? Just abnormally poor reception?

I have noticed my SD channels are much worse than when I first got VOOM 2 weeks ago, but thought maybe it was the harmonic encoding they are doing--hope it reverts back to normal soon.

Never had that problem with DTV, Dish, or Voom.

Now for the SD problem, have you been playing with the resolution button on the receiver? (behind the little door on the bottom right)

I put mine once into 'native resolution' and the SD channels were horrendous. Analog cable was actually better. Try changing it back to 1080i if so.
