News Channel 8 Coming to DISH Network in DC Area

I have no access to DISH fora few more days but I am reading locally that DISH has agreed to carry the Sinclair owned News Channel 8. I have no idea if this has already occurred or is a near term add. Sorry of it is laready htere and already discussed but I missed it.

no its a (previously) cable only channel news channel
Looks like now both D* and E* carry it

No. It is a non broadcast local news channel. It used to be cable only and then DTV started to carry it as well. Lots of metro areas have a news channel like that. FWIW Sinclair has floated the idea of going national with this one but i would be surprised if that happens.

They should...then combine the ASN sports stuff on there.
Only issue is most Sinclair markets are at full capacity right now
