NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue is considering authorizing the league to study the feasibility of adding two games to the current 16-game schedule and reducing the number of preseason games, the Washington Post reported in its Saturday editions.
I like the schedule the way it is. It has room for conference games, rivalry games, and a cycle of teams every couple years. People need to stop whining about preseason. Vick got hurt in the second preseason game. If the new schedule had been in effect this year, Vick still would have gotten hurt in preseason.

Makes no sense to me. Many good players are discovered in the late preseason games where starters don't play. How will these players ever make the team if they are not good practice guys.

It only has one purpose, more TV revenue.

I have a good idea. Charge less for the damn preseason games! Four preseason games is fine. Injuries happen in camp too. Football is a rough game and people are going to get hurt.

Charge less? That would go against everything the NFL stands for. ;)

Weren't ther even more exhibition games during the days of a 14 game season?
