NHL Channel and Style - are they free preview or now on Dish Classic Silver

i noticed recently that i been getting Style and the NHL Channel, i would have expected the NHL channel to not be on free preview anymore, since it's usually part of the NHL Center Ice package, but Style on the other hand, i want to know if this is a free preview month or did Dish move Style to the Classic Silver package.

why am i seeing these channels, are they still on free preview or did Dish move them to my package of choice.

I have been getting Style and NHL on my Classic Bronze 100 service since October 1st. Also Bravo HD. None of these are currently on free preview, so I am gueessing that this was an unannounced enhancement of the lower price packages.

I can't speak for the NHL Network as I have the Multi-Sport package but I read elsewhere that Style was moved down to Classic Bronze and it was not announced. It seems as though they made a lot of different changes around the same time that they moved ESPNU to the Classic Bronze package. NBA TV, previously in the Everything Pack was recently moved to Classic Silver as well.

When they did that, they opened up Ch. 402. With NHL Network, on Classic Silver CH. 403 is not available but CH. 625 is. You would think if DISH was opening it up to lower tiers, they would open Ch. 403.

I hope they do that. I like NHL Network, and it would put the NHL on par with the NFL Network and NBA TV in terms of exposure on DISH.

Agreed - and point well taken. I had thought that 625 would end as soon as the Free Preview was over. My brother, a Classic Bronze subscriber, still has access to that channel even today. I know that the "special pricing" advertised by the NHL ends on October 31 so I'm curious to see if they keep the channel up beyond that day. My guess, however, is that they would have taken it down at the end of the free preview. It would be good for the NHL (as far as exposure) if they made it available to almost every customer. The Classic Bronze would do just that with only Family / Welcome subscribers being left in the dark. As you mentioned in the post, though, I do actually view 403 (out of habit) more and had practically forgotten about 625 once the Free Preview had ended.

I guess it can be taken with a grain of salt but an installer told my brother that Style was moved down to Classic Bronze 100 on October 1. Some will argue this isn't the case based off of information on the DISH website. But I ask: How many inaccuracies can we find on that website?

i am about to down grade go silver to bronz. can any bronz subs tell me if they still offer style and bravo on that package? and is the site right that espn classic is in the sports pack? (i know i get nba anyways with lp). and why is gac the free channel so often. give us vh1 classic. :

It was just a guess that they were going to do that. I guess it is a matter of opinion but I would think VH1-Classic would have far more viewers than GAC. GAC was supposed to come off of free preview days ago and is still up. I can't answer why they are in the free preview so often. With all the changes DISH is making lately, I wouldn't be surprised if it did wind up in Bronze or Silver - it is already a Family Package channel.

As stated above by others, Style is now in your package if you are Bronze or Silver. Others also say you will not lose Bravo by going to Bronze anymore. ESPN Classic is not (from what I know) in the Sports Package. That is simply a listing error. If I'm wrong, someone with the Multi Sport package that actually has Classic Bronze will need to report it. I believe that is covered in the discussion regarding ESPNU. And you are correct that NBA TV will be included with League Pass regardless of your package - as long as you remain a League Pass subscriber. It works the same way for NHL Network.
