yep sure is nice to see them.......even tho 4 of them say "off the air".
hopefully that will be rectified by tomorrow.

Just turned on the Tv and saw the new channels.....
Nice.....:D:D:D

Here on the West Coast, the new HD channels are up for me as well. :) They all say off air, but selecting them, thar be programming in process! yay!

now for my 622 software update. LOL

I guess I have to go to bed soon so it can do its thing after hours.

They don't appear to be Stretch-o-Vision, they appear to be Crop-o-vision.

Looks like the discovery channels are all zoomed to mask the 4:3 image to 16:9.

Titles, credits and lower 3rd text all appear to be cropped instead of the TNT stretch. I don't know if I like this yet. The HD programs look good though.

this is awesome. new channels r up for me in Chicago. Also they finally put Comcast HD channel up. very excited with all of this.

I just check and at 6:30am a few of the new HD channels are selling stuff -- I hope this only happens late at night. Animal Planet is pretty cool and I am recording something for my wife to watch this afternoon.

Here they looked cropped to about 15:9 with narrow black bars on either side. Not all SD shows are 'safe' at that aspect ratio, so it's an interesting decision. Expect to see a fair amount of chopped heads.
