Over the weeked I hooked a digital receiver back up to my system to have DD 5.1 sound again. Everything appears to be fine except on one channel my local PBS-HD Channel 2 . Well I don't watch it much but have a 4 year upset there is no sound on Sesame Street and Dinosaur Train. If I have to watch it I want it in HD.
Here is my Set Up
Yamaha HTR-5740 receiver
Vizio 37 Tv
HR22-100
Connections
HR22-100 hooked to TV via HDMI while audio is via Optical cable to Receiver.
-Dolby Digital is turned on and works on all the channels except one PBS Ch. 2 HD only on the Receiver and Auto Selection on Receiver.
I have verified with a Friend that has Directv and HD the he has audio in 5.1DD via his Onkyo receiver on the PBS Ch. 2.
Troubleshoot I have tried.
-Audio Feed works fine on Standard Definition
-Audio Feed will turn on if I turn Dolby Digital off on Directv Reciever
-I have tried multiply settings in the receiver to see if it was very low audio.
-Per Directv suggestion I have re-booted my HR22 with no change
Any thoughts on the cause? It is odd that HBO, Starz, ESPN and USA to just name a few work perfect, well not perfect as I do have the dreaded audio drop outs.
