i have a couple 311 receivers and the dish lined up. can i just call dishnet and start a account and have them activate the receivers with no 2 year contract? will they charge a activation fee?i realize i won't get the special pricing

I am not sure about the activation fee but you won't have the two year commitment.

If you have not had Dish this is the time to get a 722(k) for a low price, installation, and good programming for a reasonable price. Go DVR. Go HD. Go HDD. With contract if you need to get out, lower programming to min allowed for remainder of contract and just pay it off--better than buying.

Don't saddle yourself with old equipment and new install will be less than re-install of used. See Claude at Dish Store. From everything I've read--he can steer you to match what you need.

If you've been with Dish, then you may have to work it out.

That 1985 Biscayne would be a classic ride since they stopped making them for the US market in 1972 and for Canada in '75.
