No Hd Signal

I have the basic HD receiver and just started having trouble with my HD cable. I have a Vizio 37 in HD tv and it says no signal and I get a blue screen when I hook up my HD cable. Sometimes I can jiggle it on the back of my Dish receiver, but now that does not seem to work. Is there a way to clean the connectors or plug? I tried 2 different cables and 3 different HD ports on my tv. Or will Dish have to come out and replace the receiver?

Are you discussing HDMI cables? Is this an old 622?

To get going while waiting for a replacement receiver to fix the HDMI port (if that's what it is), try using component cables instead.

component cables go bad easily... but get the dhpp and call out a tech
