I have been with DISH for almost 5 years now and have had no complaints until recently. I had DISH add another DVR receiver. When I did DISH changed my local network channels from Dayton ( the only locals available when I signed up with DISH) to Lima in Ohio. I live in Wapakoneta so Lima is much closer. I really didn't have a problem with that until I realized the locals I get from Lima are in SD not HD as they were out of Dayton. I called DISH and after being told by customer service that someone at the FCC had flipped a switch and changed my locals I actually talked to a supervisor. I understood that I had to have Lima as my locals now but was told that WLIO in Lima that provides the locals just sends them as SD not HD and that that was out of DISH's control. So I called WLIO and talked to an engineer there and was told that they send the signal out in HD and the it is a DISH issue.
I did put up an antenna so I can now get the local network channels out of Lima. They are in HD but when they show up on my 722 DVR they are the only OTA channels that do not show programming information.
Does anyone have any idea why I cannot get Lima locals in HD thru DISH and why no programming info off of my antenna.

:welcome to SatelliteGuys. Dish did not change your locals, Nielsen did. Nielsen determines what DMA that you are in. The equipment change required Dish to update your account. Here is a link to a thread about the changes. http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-forum/165484-neilsen-realigns-some-dmas.html

As of now, the Lima locals are not in HD with Dish. If you really want the Dayton locals (HD) back, you could "move" to a Dayton address. Just change your service address with Dish but keep your billing address the same.

that link is old but every summer these changes happen. Looks like a couple counties moved into Lima

a thread from a "former" Toledo locals customer

and a recent one for the same situation

as for the locals guide.....do a reboot or a switch check. That will fill in the guide.

Edit: looking at some more info because most of Lima's locals are low powered Dish doesnt seem to carry the guide info. These are the channels I show that have guide info for OTA

27-01 WBGU TSID 0x08B9, Subchannel 01 (DISH Channel 6585)
27-02 WBGU2 TSID 0x08B9, Subchannel 02 (DISH Channel 15138)
27-03 WBGU3 TSID 0x08B9, Subchannel 03 (DISH Channel 15139)
44-01 WTLW TSID 0x08ED, Subchannel 01 (DISH Channel 6584)

Why they dont remap the others makes no sense
