Hello all,

NOAA operates weather stations found from 162.4 - 162.55 MHz, easily gotten using a dongle SDR. In the picture you can see about 6 stations, all of different signal strengths on the spectral display. Some heard from here are located in NYC, Philadelphia, and Allentown, PA.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, sometimes you'll hear them from distant places.

They transmit voice weather 24/7. Use narrowband FM when listening.
