Not sure if I should go to the Flyer/Canadiens game next Monday

My fiance' was offered great seats for next Monday's 'if necessary' game five, at whatever corporate sponsor name the Flyers are using for their arena at the moment. I have to let him know by tomorrow if I want to go, and I am so not sure what to do!

As a Ranger fan I am starved for playoff hockey beyond belief. We went all the time when I was a kid (many in my extended family had season tickets), and I guess I took it for granted that I would always be at Ranger playoff games. Then came ten years out of the playoffs, and when they finally qualified again in 2006, I could not get tickets anymore!

I have been offered free Devil Stanley Cup tickets, even for the finals, and I've never taken them. I certainly don't want to go and root for the Devils, and I don't want to root against them either....so I never went. Plus, the Devils are boring!

This Flyers team and series is a little different, though, the place was so loud last night it looked like a lot of fun...and I need a fix of playoff hockey! I would never put on the 'Orange Crud' Sea of Orange shirt and root for them, but I may be able to at least enjoy the game.

What do you guys think? Would an Ohio State fan enjoy a Michigan/Michigan State game? Would Bill go to a Yankee world series game if he happened to be in town and fell into tickets? Thoughts?

i'd go. I'm a die hard Yankee fan but I go to other parks and see other teams for the sheer love of the game. Besides, if something really cool or unusual happens, you were there! Just my two cents.

If you asking if I would go to a M/ MSU game ?

NO

Now if they were in the professional ranks, I'd have to think harder about it.
Pro's vs college is a lot different.

IF for some reason the Browns were in the SB in Columbus or even Cleveland and I had a chance to get tickets, would I go ..... No.

I REALLY know this won't happen though. :D

But, Playoff Hockey is like no other.

Go for it, Sandra!

Like Cosmo said, you don't have to openly root for/against either team. But you're a big time hockey nut, and this is the Stanley Cup Playoffs! :)

As for me going to a World Series game at Yankee Stadium..............hell yeah, I'd go! ;)
