yeah Portland not having it is weird as Belo has a station in the market

I don't recall any pissing match with KGW.

I wonder if NWCN has some sort of exclusive with Comcast in the Portland DMA. Maybe Comcast threatened KGW with making Trailblazers games difficult to get as part of the ongoing multi-carrier firestorm that is CSN NW. KGW is the station that gets what Trailblazers games that aren't on CSN NW or national TV.

Under the current regulations, any channel that is available to cable systems also has to be made available to other providers. So if Dish wants it, they have to make it available.

The problem being that there is little control over how much a provider can ask in terms of money or other considerations (like bundling).
