Hey guys I noticed today in my guide that Dish has

XKOKH 9828 Temp Home Fox
XKFOR 9827 Temp Home NBC
XKWTV 9826 Temp Home CBS
XKOCO 9825 Temp Home ABC

Now the other original channels show up still at

KOKH Fox 8893
KFOR NBC 8892
KWTV CBS 8891
KOCO ABC 8890

But in the guide when you go to one of the channels listed in the 9828-9825 it says this.. "If KFOR is no longer available at channel 8892 contact Dish about an equipment upgrade". Which I do not need due to I see the channels and on a 411. Anyway could this be maybe a sign that they might be adding OKC Locals HD Channels anytime soon??

no

They are moving OKC locals from 119 to 110 and there are still people out there with a dish300 (the original Dish) aimed at 119 only. Its letting them know to upgrade their dish. Anybody that got Dish after 99 or so is safe

If you can see 9900, you'll be fine.

Yeah Im fine Im on a 411 with a Dish 1000 I was just hopeing it might have been a sign that OKC Local HDs might be coming.

its very possible, don't get me wrong (that's what they did in San Fran..move the SD to 110 and put HD on 119 spotbeams)....
but Dish seems to want to move alot of the locals to 110

I'm hoping that's what happens. Take all the SD locals off the 119 spotbeam, put them on the E10 spotbeam for OKC, then put the big 4 networks for OKC up in HD on the 119 spotbeam.

hello, what about Channel 7, that is out of Lawton,Ok and wichita falls,tx are those locals moving from 121 or 129 to the 110 and 119.. I hope so .. because all I have is a dish500.. i'm debating on getting a dish1000 to get those locals.. get Okc just fine..

Thanks in advance......

Not necessarily. Since they are on 129, Dish technically is complying with the one dish rule (actually with them on SD they are too). Dish needed to comply with the "one dish rule" which means all local can be recieved with one dish. Some markets needed 2 dishes to get all their locals so Dish had to move them to 110/119 first. Locals with all of them on a Superdish slot, 129 or 148 do comply (rule says all locals have to be on one dish...doesn't say which one) :)

They probably will move Wichita Falls/Lawton to 110 or 119 sometime soon. Dish wanted to first move the stuff from the wings to 110/119 to comply. Now they can start shifting the other stuff around :)
