? on Adding a Dish receiver

I am adding a small shop to my property and would like to have a TV out there as well. I currently have a ViP 622 in the house, but would like to add another receiver (SD, no DVR) for the shop. I contacted Dish, and all they told me is that I could use the DishnUp program. This seems a bit expensive to me.

Could I just buy a receiver from an individual and have Dish activate it? What are my options?

Yes you can simply purchase one and run the cable yourself or install another dish on your shop and activate the receiver on your account. I actually have a few 311s if you are interested send me an email at mike2154@swbell.net and I will do my best to make you a good deal shipped to your address.:
