'One-ring' cell phone scam

Yup. We've gotten multiple one ring calls from the area codes listed in the article. The local NBC news had this on the air about a week ago.
 
Who calls back random numbers that show up on their phone? If someone wants me to call them back, they better leave a message.
 
Look up the number on that Internet thingy before that fad passes. ;)
 
I was once left a message on my answering machine back when 976-numbers were new.
This variation isn't new.
People who call back one-rings, are likely the same ones who can't resist a random URL.
