HD-Lite: One thing I haven't seen mentioned

Obviously there has been an enormous amount of discussion about when Dish will add more National HD, what National HD it will add, its Local HD expansions, and what the loss of AMC14 means.

Now I'm one of those that is biting my nails waiting for Scifi HD, sometimes I think the only thing that hasn't kept me from switching to D* is the fact that their DVR does not record OTA (tho' I understand there is supposed to be an USB add-on coming out to address that issue). But for a little (very little) while longer I'll stick with Dish.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned, or I've missed, is the HD-Lite issue. From my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong), D*, since its earlier satellite launch is no longer downsampling and transmitting in HD-Lite. Where does Dish stand in this regards. It seems to me, with the loss of AMC14 and existing capacity issues, it may be years before Dish is HD-Lite free.

Thoughts, comments?
