The channels will be accompanied by ambient music or sound effects, designed to promote a tranquil background and to showcase full high-definition 1080i, Dolby 5.1 sound.

“We are very proud of the fact that we were able to put these HD channels together in less than four months,” said Albert J. Estrada, President and Chief Executive Officer of Optical Entertainment Network. “This shows what a company as nimble as ours can accomplish with entrepreneurship and a cutting-edge service platform to build upon. This will make a unique addition to our industry-leading line-up of over 40 HD channels. It should be very popular with our subscribers who have a healthy appetite for more HD content.”

OEN has created FISION, the first and only integrated service for IPTV, Internet, Voice, Video-On-Demand (VOD) and other broadband applications, designed specifically to take advantage of the benefits of FTTH technology. OEN has acquired programming agreements for IPTV distribution from top television networks in the US, Latin America, Europe, and South Asia including Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean channels with programming in 13 foreign languages.

In addition to featuring virtually all mainstream television networks such as Fox Cable Networks, Turner, Disney/ESPN, HBO, and Starz!, FISION’s programming line-up showcases new and innovative programming such as NFL Network, The Anime Network, MTV Urge, HDNet, HBO HD, The Africa Channel, BabyFirst TV, Southern Entertainment Television, GOL TV and Discovery Health. FISION will also deliver 55 channels of Hispanic TV programming, the most offered from any network in the US.

Because FISION IPTV signals are not digitized or compressed at the headend, the picture quality is supreme and the unlimited bandwidth of FTTH technology enables FISION to offer the largest channel line up with over 85 premium networks and over 40 HD channels and numerous niche channels to serve all appetites. All FISION Triple Play Packages include over 260 popular and innovative channels as well as up to 10 Mbps Ultimate Internet complimented with commercial grade VoIP featuring unlimited calling to the US and Canada as well as caller-ID, call waiting and a find-me-follow-me feature at no additional cost to FISION subscribers.
