Optimum setup of Dish Antennas?

I'm in the Mpls/St. paul area and would like to optimize my reception of 110, 119, and 129.

I currently have a Dish 1000 connected to a SW44 feeding 2 single tuner receivers and one dual tuner receiver. (622, 501, 510)

129 comes in low
110 is lower now than it was with the Dish500 antenna
119 is about the same as it was with the Dish500 antenna.

Would 3 single antennas do better? Which ones? What LNB's would I need?
Current antenna is mounted on the side of the house, I'd move things to the top of the 3 season porch.

Correction, it's a DP34 switch.

So if I go dish 500 for the 110 and 119 bird, do I get a different dish for the 129, or just use the 1000 antenna for that? I'm trying to improve things, so status quo wouldn't be best.

Now if I do what you say, am I just using the LNB I have?

There are so many options these days I just can't keep track.

The bigger dish may be what you may want for 129 since that is the location with the lowest reading. Everything would still be run through the dp34 switch. Your lnb's should be DP lnb's, that would be the type you would still use. Only equipment you would need to pick up for be a Dish 500 and move the approapriate lnb's to that dish.

If you're talking about at D1000 and a D500, use the D500 on 129 and the D1000 for 110 and 119.

I'd recommend a Dish500 for 110/119. Then a 76cm or 90cm for 129.

In comparing signal strengths between 61.5, 119, 129 with a 90cm I don't see much of a difference with 129. Bigger is better....

I went with a 24inch d500 and single lnb for 129. I left the 110/119 on the T1000. I get 70 on 119. I will re-tweak the T1000 for better 110/119 SS.

129 TP31 SS went from 30-35 to 58-61. Sure will fix my clear night drop outs, and hopefully give better rain signals.
It was a good fix that I bought and paid for. I am sure the company would not have done it. Took about 2 hrs from digging the hole for the pipe to up and running.

I had found a thread before that showed no appreciable gain between a Dish 500 and a Dish 300 aimed at 129. (the dish 500 being setup for dual orbital locations and the 300 optimized for a single)

Would the 76 or 90 dish be o.k. on a roof? Suggested vendors for such that will fit a dish LNB?

Hmm, maybe this 76 unit?
Winegard --- Home Satellite - 76 cm

Oh, and if I do this, what kind of mount would be necessary?

there is a company in the cities called df countryman, there web site is dfcco.com.they can order the winegard ds-2077. that one is the 30inch model made for dishwork lnb's. lowest price i have able to find thus far. i think it would be to much for a roof mount. i plan on getting 2 of them to replace both 110 and 119 that way no more rainfade! i have d500 mounted on a 6x6 landscape timber plus a d300 for 61.5

thanks for the tip on the local supplier. problem for me is poles would need to be alwful tall to clear the trees. So on the roof I can make it. I could make a pretty big non penetrating mount as it would actually be on the roof of my 3 season porch and is out back where most people wouldn't mind seeing hardware.

I suppose I could bolt a pole to the side of the porch as well.
