Ordering a new 722

I just contacted Dish about ordering a 722 to replace the 510 and 311 that I have. The CSR kept saying that they would have to install it because I needed a new dish. Wants to charge me $195 instead of the $75 that it costs shipped. I already have 1 ViP722, why would I need a new dish?

Normally they want to install the 722s themselves as a dish upgrade is required to go to HD programming. If you already have one 722 and get your HD ok then you should be fine as far as the dish. Usually they wont ship 722's unless its to swap out a 622 or 722. You could try again or email the ceo address.

If you already have HD service on your account, they should ship a 722. Besides install fees are $50 so they should have quoted you $125 installed if they quoted you $75 shipped. I would call back and try to find a different CSR.
