OTA dongle issue

I have both of the ota dual dongles (dish & air tv)
I can be watching an ota channel & suddenly the loss of signal box pops up
The picture disappears for a few seconds & then comes right back
Is this a sign of the dongle over heating or something else?

That could be caused by a weak signal from your antenna. Do you have good signal strength/quality from your antenna? Is your antenna pointed correctly to get the best signal strength?

Mine does that occasionally, with 100% signal. I've never figured out why though.

Sounds like multipath, what we saw as ghosting in analog manifests as a dropped signal in digital. I have line of sight to a tower with two local affiliates and one of them likes to drop like this. It’s more prevalent with a stronger signal.
