OTA multipath, signal lock problems

I too am experiencing multipath, signal lock problems on one of the three major network feeds. However, if I allow the 811 to "do its thing", I ultimately get signal lock in 20 to 40 seconds. Once locked, its there for the duration of my viewing period. I just watch it bounce around from less than 49% to as great as 85% until it achieves lock. Is this usual, or am I lucky to achieve lock at all.

For those experiencing similar problems, let the 811 "chew on it" for a minute or so before giving up.

yup, except I've found a way to continually press the view tv button until the station finally locks
