Hi,

I bought a VOOM receiver from a friend to use as an over the air set top box.
I works very well but I can't figure out how to activate the signal meter function. Can anyone tell me how to turn on the signal meter function so I can better aim the UHF antenna in my attic.

Thanks

Puch the Voom Button.

Then the green button twice. If you are prompted for a pin code use 0000

Then go to installer menu.

Then aim antenna is one of the choices.

You need to punch in the RF # of the channel you want to aim for then "OK". This is not the channel number, but the RF #.

Press the Voom button
Press the green button twice and enter pin if one is needed, 0000
Highlight Installer Menu and press ok
Highlight Installation Wizard and press ok
Highlight Aim Offair Antenna and press ok
Enter the RF number, it can be gotten from Antennaweb.Org, and press ok. You can also get the location of the transmitting towers from this site to know which way to aim your antenna to start with.
Once you have aimed ota to get the best signal strength, go to step four.
Scan local channels.
If all expected channels are found, press green button to lock in found channels.
Next, press Voom button, green button once, highlight local channels and press ok, check to make sure channels are not hidden, if they are, highlight them and press ok to make the hide box go away.

Good luck. :)
