I am checking into changing my Top 200 package to the Flex package plus the Heartland package. This will save me about $20. The only channel I will lose is Lifetime Movies. I will check to stream it.

Will Prime and Netflix still be able to be used? Of the 240 channels on the Top 200 package we watch 29 channels.

If it were me, I would add on the Variety Pack for $6 (it's only $1.01 more than Lifetime's streaming service that's $4.99 per month).

With the Variety Pack, you'll receive:

- Lifetime Movie Network (LMN)
- Bravo
- BET
- Freeform
- Crime & Investigation Network
- Investigation Discovery

It's a much better deal than streaming alone.

Can't you just record three or so Lifetime Movies now, you know, one of the main character going back to the farm, one of the main character going back home to her home town, something something holiday something something snow storm? Pretty much can't tell them apart from there.

Tell that to my wife. When she starts any new shows I tell her "do you want me to tell you how it ends". This goes to the Hallmark and Uptv channels also.

After checking further I found I could get the Flex package and pair it with the FrndlyTV HD package for $9. This along with the Dish locals and the Flex package comes up to $74.

But this depends on if Dish will repeat my deal I have now or not. Right now I am paying $80 for the Top 200 and locals. A difference of only $6 may not be worth the hassle I get from my wife when she can't do what she always has done when she wants to watch something. I have five months until my contract runs out. This is around Christmas and the hell I will pay if she misses her Christmas shows will not be worth it. :)

I would but I got in trouble the last time I barged into a SatGuys member's house. Two-day ban. :D

Philo is out there as well, but egad, that $25 a month now!

Also, why get Frndly over the Variety add-on in Flex? I mean, yes in theory I'd have a hard time paying $6 a month for Bravo, LMN, and BET too.

Because the three channels I need are Uptv, Hallmark Movies/Mysteries and Liftetime Movies. We don't watch BET and Bravo also.

Ah. The OP only mentioned LMN. Frndly it is.

Anyone remember when Homicide: Life on the Streets broadcasted reruns on Lifetime? That pairing never really made sense.

You're thinking of Hallmark Movies
Lifetime Movie is the "wifebeater network" where the woman always got beat up by her spouse etc. Or the woman seeks revenge against someone

I always called it the Battered, Bitter , B*tch channel. Because some one gets beat down or raped and they woman always ends up bitter seeking revenge .
