"Partners" bites the dust.

Couple of observations:

This was the kind of weak show that networks would hide in their big comedy nights in between two good shows, where it would live for a couple of years. This quick cancelation is, IMHO, a sign that the DVR is ending this practice.

CBS has the awful David Spade in the awful Rules of Engagement, again. In other words, CBS is out of ideas. With 2 1/2 Men and How I Met Your Mother stars already working year to year (stars generally sign for 7 years, after which the costs of remaining in production go way up), CBS's Monday slot is looking suddenly vunerable.

People don't want to be preached at. Contrast this show to the appropriate characters in Modern Family.
