Pausing live TV question on Joey

I'm looking at pulling the trigger on the Hopper/Joey setup. I currently have 3 722's, but need more HD hookups. I have a friend that has Direct's whole-home DVR solution and he says that he can't pause and rewind live tv unless he is recording. Does the Joey's have the ability to do this just like the 722? If not, this will be a deal breaker for me. I hope that I'm not asking a dumb question, but I really need to know. I didn't see a similar question browsing the board.

Joey has full trick play of live TV. The only real difference when viewing live TV from Joey vs Hopper is the loss of PIP/Swap.
