Peacock TV

I have been receiving the $25/year offer in emails for a couple of weeks now, but because we are already Peacock subscribers, it isn't available for our account. Our subscription was up for renewal the end of the month, so I went ahead and canceled.

Of course, the cancellation script offered $59.99/yr. Which I turned down, but if they are offering $24.99 for that year, I will resubscribe.

Hmmm, the Spring Savings offer won't work because we already have Premium. It looks like I need to wait until May 29 or 30 to try again.

I believe if you were to Cancel, whatever day, you can go right back in and re up at the better deal.

I really wish we didn't have to do the cancel/re-subscribe loop with these companies. It really is a bad business model when you screw over your loyal subscribers IMHO. SiriusXM really pisses me off in this regard.

You can always use a different email to get the deal right away. That's what I've done around Turkey Day when they usually have some good offer
Reminds me of when I would subscribe to Flying magazine and they would never renew for anything other than the full subscription price. So I would cancel and send in one of the bingo cards with the $5/yr offer, changing my name by using a different middle initial or becoming "Ron" or "Ronald".

Yeah, Mrs. Foxbat had me go through the SiriusXM dance this week. They now have an AI Chatbot, so there's a number of customer support jobs eliminated. But I re-signed for a rate that's a dollar less than we were paying, so I guess that's a W…

I have been using the Chat feature (for SiriusXm) to renew for the last few years now, just need to have the Chat get you to an actual Human, once that happens, everything has gone well .... much better than trying to understand someone on the phone.

This is what I do as well. I am actually on the spring expiration schedule. My current plan expires June 6th and I will sign up next week with my other email.

Also two of my Chase cards and my American Express card have offers for a $7.99 statement credit when spending more than $7.99 on Peacock. Plus my chase freedom quarterly 5% cash back includes Peacock. As Kevin Hart would say - what's in your wallet?

I got to say, I am getting into this streaming thing. I currently have the $20 Peacock for a year deal and this summer I have spent a lot of time in Peacock - more than I have before. I would say since I last used it during football season, it is a lot more smooth and less buggy. And even though I have the ad supported version, it is better than watching linear tv. I have been rewatching a lot of Two and Half Men, and each 22 minute episode has a 30 second, 60 second, and 90 second ad break - 3 minutes total. Whereas linear tv has about 8 minutes of commercials for a 30 minute episode.

I am curious if someone who lives in the streaming world can answer this question. This is one of the things that I am not sure of on completely cutting the cord. Take a look at the Open coverage next weekend. There is streaming coverage on Peacock in the early morning and then there is streaming coverage on Peacock when it is on NBC. But the time it is on USA Network, it appears that that there is no Peacock simulcast - only special feeds and following key groups. How would you watch the USA Network coverage if you were in just the streaming world? Or am I misreading the chart and USA Network coverage is on Peacock?

Peacock has live channels. A bunch of them. I think the USA network is one of them.

The way I read the document is USA programming is not on Peacock do you may be SOL
Looking at my peacock subscription and there is golf on all day those 2 days but it isn't the "master feed". It shows 2 "featured group" channels and a "multiview" channel. I can scroll to Saturday (which would be on NBC) and it just says "The Open: Rd 3" that day (along with some featured groups). I might see more next week closer to 1st round.
