Does the Philps 70 Hour DVR have the 30 second skip button or do we have to use the advance button i know the Philips DVR has the FF Button any help will be appreciated.

Yes. You can reprogram the ADV button on your remote for 30-sec skip with the following procedure:

While watching a previously recorded show, using the remote, press the following keys one after the other ...

Select - Play - Select - 3 - 0 - Select

Thanks that helps me allot i will try that tommorrow when i turn on my Projector i will skip the commercial quickly.

Yep i will enjoy allot i will be one happy camper i can't wait no commercials WOW that is good news i will tell you how it went should be simple.

Same way you turned in on, it's a toggle:
Select - Play - Select - 3 - 0 - Select
And when the unit reboots, 30 sec skip comes up off, so you have to redo.
